Chi Kung courses
Our next Shaolin Chi Kung Beginners Course will be held in Helsinki in Autumn 2009.
The course starts on October 8th, and weekly classes take place on thursday evenings from 8pm to 10pm.
Shaolin Chi Kung is an excellent method to improve health, vitality and achieve balance, both physically, mentally and emotionally. As with all the Shaolin arts, the onus of Shaolin Chi Kung is to enhance our daily life, regardless of our aims and objectives.
The type of chi kung taught in Shaolin Wahnam has been passed down from the Shaolin Temple itself through generations of masters and pupils. The practice itself consists of simple–yet–effective exercises, that are suitable for adults of all ages. Through the practice of chi kung, many Shaolin Wahnam students have been able to overcome conditions(1) such as hypertension, asthma, rheumatism, arthritis, diabetes, migraines, gastritis, gall stones, kidney failure, depression, anxiety and even cancer.

- Basic requirement for the deepening chi kung course:
-
This course is meant for fresh beginners, so there's no requirements apart from maintaining an open mind and having a sincere willingness to learn.
However, participants are advised to familiarize themselves well with this and this text.
Personal Practice
Individual practice outside the classes is an integral part of the course content. Because there is only one formal class per week with Sifu Markus, it is essential that the students practice what they are taught on a daily basis.
Uniform
There is no set uniform within the chi kung classes, instead students should wear loose, comfortable clothing. It is not advisable to train in bare feet, so indoor shoes or trainers will be required. Anyone with jewellery or piercings is advised to either remove them or to cover them with tape to help prevent accidents.
Class Etiquette
Each class will start promptly at the stated time and the students should be ready to begin the classes then. If a student is persistently late without good reason, or if they stand around talking instead of getting changed, then they may be asked to leave the class. Please read:
Showing Respect To The Master by Sifu Wong Kiew Kit.
Guarantee of Satisfaction
As with all Courses and Classes offerred by the Shaolin Wahnam Institute, if by the end of the course you feel dissatisfied, you can request for a full refund of your fees. In order to qualify for a refund, you need to have participated to the majority of course classes and have practiced what you were taught in the way that you were taught it. You also need to inform the instructor of your desire before the last class at the latest.
